The Lump
By | November 20, 2008

She calls herself The Lump and her blog is outragously entertaining. Take a peak at her “Would you rather” questions for a good laugh. For instance:
Would you rather drown in Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi?
Would you rather know it all or have it all?
Would you rather be stranded on an island alone or with someone you hate?
Okay, I can’t give them all away, you just have to see for yourself at:

I can see that I will be spending quite a bit of time at The Lump.

My Favorite Thanksgiving Pie
By | November 15, 2008

Oatmeal doesn’t exactly conjur up the idea of pie, but my favorite Thanksgiving pie is actually Oatmeal Pie. Well it’s really Maple Oatmeal Pie and I found the recipe in Better Homes and Gardens Christmas Baking of 2007. And since then it’s become my absolute favorite. Here is the recipe:
You will need a single crust for this pie.
2 eggs slightly beaten
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup granualted sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup butter melted
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup flaked coconut
3/4 cup rolled oats
1/2 cut chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 375. Combine all ingredients, mix and fill pie shell. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until knife in center of pie comes out clean. Serve with a little vanilla icecream. Yum!

A little Ittzy About Etsy
By | November 13, 2008

Pick up the December 2008 issue of Home Companion and read the interview with the owner of Etsy.com. Thoroughly delightful and inspiring. I love when he said, “I was going to start a furniture store called Etsy before I started an Etsy called Etsy.”

Pillow Singing
By | November 11, 2008

This is undoubtedly sappy. K, I know. However, it’s so much fun. My husband bought our first Ipod (his really) and now in bed while snuggling he puts one ear piece in my ear and one in his and we snuggle to the old tunes of John Denver. Oh Come On! That’s just romantic. And yes, I know everyone else has probably been doing this f*o*r*e*v*e*r but ya know, we are slower to catch up. Who needs pillow talk when we now have pillow singing?

Big Chunk Of Fun
By | November 9, 2008

Several weeks ago my husband took our daughter up to the (extended not just ours) family vacation spot where Kenzie (our new daughter) fell in love with four-wheeling. So she spent hours riding with her dad and her uncle Bryan. At home that night Kenzie said to my husband, “Dad, you’re just a big chunk of fun.”

Okay, Okay, Okay…one more reality show.
By | November 7, 2008

I know, I know I said I was sick of Reality Shows. Then I read in American Style Magazine (Dec. 2008 issue and no that is not the right pic) that Sara Jessica Parker is planning a new reality show called American Artist that will pit modern artists against each other much the way that The Next Top Model does. Okay, I’m game for that one. I guess the Bravo channel is looking at it. That’s a reality show I’ll watch. Heck if only to get new painting techniques. It’s kind of reality for the culturally minded.

I dream of new 30 minute sitcoms
By | November 5, 2008

K, no one in this day and age really admits to loving television anymore. Maybe that is because the 30 minute sitcoms seem to have gone away. There are a few straglers, but not many. I really loved the mindless just-for-entertainment sitcoms that took a mere 30 minutes.
I dream of Jeannie
Bewitched
Mad About You
Cheers
Frazier
I’m tired of law and gore, reality everything, and one hour dramas (Heros doesn’t count…and yes, I make the rules.) What sitcoms do you miss? Oh and by the way, I protest the cancellation of Lipstick Jungle and wish that Journey Man would’ve made it back after the writers strike. However, since the star of Journey Man in now on Grey’s Anatomy, I’m not holding my breath.

ScrapBizTutor.com - Have you always wanted to know how to start a scrapping business? Then this blog is for you.
MasterYourWeb.com - Everything you need to know to market and publicize any website is the theme of this blog.

All of these will be blogs full of more than 12 years of my experience helping businesses succeed or just fun stuff. I do plan to start something on writing since I’ve been published many times and maybe cooking just cus I love it so. These are almost a labor of love for me, but there will be advertising as well. But still it’s good solid free information. Hope you enjoy it.

Happy Halloweeeeeeeeeennnnnn!!!!
By | October 31, 2008

We live in an unusual place. We are in a neighborhood, but down a dark paved driveway. Our custom home was one of the first built in this neighborhood and then the rest of the homes were built around us. We are hard to find. Sales people don’t find us worth the walk and children don’t find us worth a piece of candy. So we always take our umbrella chairs, a little bit of costuming, and a big bag a full sized candy bars and sit on the corner. It’s so much fun. We get so much attention because our “house” on the corner is so unusual. We make everyone knock on our imaginary door, and then gasp at their costumes. I’m sure the full sized candy bars help as well, but we have a blast. We can even get the older teenagers to visit us, including those big hulking boys cus after all, we’ve got manly sized treats! I even got a car full of teenagers girls to screech to a halt in the car simply by holding up a Kit Kat bar. Hehehehehe. So much fun.
Hope you have a safe, fun, zany Happy Halloween!
